Baking this fall is easy with our homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice! It adds the perfect touch to all of your pumpkin treats this time of year!
It’ll come as no surprise that we LOVE baking with pumpkin, but did you know that pumpkin itself is actually pretty bland?
Not a whole lot of flavor going on at all!
What we’re tasting when we eat pumpkin treats is all the pumpkin spice – a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, and cloves! The ultime combo for that warm, cozy, spiced flavor that we love in our pumpkin desserts!
We’ve often bought the little jars of pumpkin spice, but now I just make my own. It’s so simple, it’s easy to customize, and it helps use up all those other spices you probably have in your cabinet anyway!
We just used this recipe the other day when making our pumpkin chocolate chip cake!
