This creamy DILL PICKLE DIP comes together with just 4 ingredients and is ready to eat in minutes! It’s the perfect dip for chips and everyone raves over it!
It seems like pickles have been having a moment lately. It’s their time to shine. We’re especially loving them lately in our dill pickle chicken salad!
We’ve got pickled flavored foods that you’d never expect, we have the biggest variety of pickles in the stores that I’ve ever seen, and there are people on TikTok that just sit and eat pickles while you watch. <— I try to avoid those, because it honestly just makes me crave pickles.
I’m a total pickle girl, and dill pickles are where it’s at! Especially when they’re chopped up and mixed with cream cheese to make the most amazing chip dip!
This dill pickle dip is seriously life changing – it’s SO EASY, made with just four ingredients, and you can have it on your table in minutes! Obsessed.
Other favorite dips of mine include Rotel dip, BLT dip, and keto spinach dip.
Ingredient Notes:
Pickles – Dill pickles work best here, but use your favorite brand. We like Claussen.
Cream Cheese – Let it set out for 30 minutes to come to room temperature.
Worcestershire Sauce – Adds a savory depth to the dip.
Dill – The perfect way to top off this pickle dip is with some fresh or dried dill.

How to Make Pickle Dip:
Chop: Chop the pickles as fine or as chunky as you’d like.
Mix: Stir the pickles, pickle juice, and Worcestershire into the soft cream cheese.
Serve: Sprinkle with fresh or dried dill just before serving.
What to serve with pickle dip:
We love this dill pickle dip with a sturdy chip like Ruffles. The dip is fairly thick, so you’ll want a chip that can stand up to it.
Ritz crackers and pretzel thins are also good options.
Keep things low carb by dipping fresh veggies or pork rinds in your pickle dip!
Leftover dip? Spread the dip on a flour tortilla, add a couple slices of deli ham, and roll it up for a quick lunch or snack!
FAQs:
Store tightly covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
There are a few ways to do this. You can of course leave it on the counter (covered) until it reaches room temperature. The microwave will also work but it can be tricky and it may not soften evenly.
Another option is to use warm water. You can leave the cream cheese sealed in the foil it comes in (but not the box) and place that into a bowl of warm water, flipping it every few minutes until it softens.
You can also try cutting the cream cheese into small pieces, placing it into a mixing bowl, and then wrapping a dish towel dampened in hot water around the bottom of the bowl.
We much prefer dill pickles in this dip, but any variety you like should work well. We buy whole pickles and chop them up, but any shape of pickle is fine.

I do something simular to this and everyone asks for it durning get togethers. I don’t mind making it but its such a pain to put together and they don’t look very appitizing. I take deli ham cream cheese and whole dill pickles. I dry the pickles and smother them with the cream cheese then try wrapping the ham around them. Let them get cold and then slicing them. I’ve been wanting to make them as a dip and I just may try this but add chopped ham. Like I said they don’t look appatizing, but they taste delish. By the way i love your site and your recipes.

@Kathleen,
I bet this would be great with the meat chopped up in it! ๐

I did make this for the Super Bowl, and it has been a struggle to not eat it all before the party! I don’t know if it was the band of pickle or what, but I had to add about 2 tsp. dried dill and 1/4 tsp salt before it tasted really good to me. Nice idea!
Danielle says
Is the above an actual picture of your dip? Mine did not look so white after I added the Worcestershire…
Karly says
@Danielle,
Yep, that’s a picture of the same dip. Keep in mind that all monitors are different, so the real life colors aren’t going to match up to the computer always. My dip is pretty white, but it’s not pure white. Color shouldn’t affect the taste either way, though. ๐

YUM!! I just got a jar of specialty spicy pickles. I see this dip in the future!!

This is what I wrote when I pinned it:
Dill pickle dip recipe. Oh the possibilities! As a spread for burgers or sandwiches. Spread it on Salmon. Put it on toasted bread coins and top with salmon and a sprinkle of dill. Dill pickle mashed potatoes. Mix it with pasta and add chicken or salmon. Add minced garlic to it and maybe green onion. Oh I am way to excited about this dip…

Did you use just plain old sliced dill pickles~the kind you put on burgers or did you use whole ones chopped up? Probably makes no difference~just want to make sure I get it right! Thanks!
Karly says
I used the pickle chips that you’d use on a burger, but I think any type would work fine!
Lauren says
Could you use dill pickle relish instead of hand chopping them up?
Karly says
Hi Lauren!
I’ve never tried that, but I imagine it would work fine. The relish juice seems a bit thicker than the regular pickle juice, so maybe a splash of vinegar would thin things out a bit.
Hope that helps!

I think this would be good with the spicy pickles. Also, what about using sour cream instead of cream cheese?
CarlyK says
For a lady who can’t tolerate cream cheese (me – I know, it is sad. I can’t eat cheesecake or anything without getting a major tummyache.), what would you recommend as a substitute for the cream cheese? I’m not much better with yogurt – and sour cream is only a small doses acceptable food. Could I use something like laughing cow spreadable swiss? Just curious what you might recommend! Thanks in advance.

OMG! Where has this been all my life?!?!?! I came across this recipe and took pause. Pickle dip and chips? Hmmmm, why the heck not. We whipped up a batch for a party and have serious reservation about this lasting until our party tomorrow. This is absolutely the most amazing dip we have ever scooped onto a potato chip. I should mention that I did alter this recipe and added a dash of white truffle salt, white pepper and dill. Amazing!!!! Thanks for sharing!
Bree {Skinny Mommy} says
Oh my goodness I love this dip! So easy and creative.
Andrea says
This sounds awesome! You should try using dill pickle relish which is basically pickles already chopped in small peices. It save even more time and would get the dip made faster so that its less time that you have to wait to enjoy this yummy stuff!

I just made this to take on vacation (we leave today) and ohmygoodness!!! If the chips weren’t already packed it would be half gone.
