I’m excited to pop in today to tell you about my new adventures! A few years ago, I got seriously bit by the travel bug. In 2013, I went on 11 trips. 2014 was a sad travel year for me, since we were living out of state and most of the travel we did involved coming home to see family…which is lovely! But, it’s not the same as a tropical vacation, you know?
Anyway! Travel is my jam and is a huge motivator for me when I’m work-work-working my butt off!
So, when IZEA and Groupon reached out to me about a little travel series on the ol’ blog, I jumped around in excitement!
I’ll be going on two trips courtesy of Groupon Getaways. One trip will be within driving distance (we’re thinking Chicago!) and one trip will be where ever my little heart desires.
My husband is going with me on the driving trip, but I thought it would be so fun to surprise my mama, my aunt, and my cousin with a girl’s trip for the international trip!
I asked them all to meet me for dinner and I showed up to the restaurant with these adorable little suitcases that I made for each of them.
I’m the least crafty person in the world, so I was pretty proud of myself for finding little wooden suitcases at Hobby Lobby and jamming some scrapbook stickers on the front.
Inside the box was a little brown bag full of the different destination options they could choose from (I had printed these out from the Groupon Getaways website), along with some little drink umbrellas, just as subtle “hey, let’s go somewhere tropical” hint. Ha!
So, obviously they were beyond thrilled and so excited and we are going to have a BLAST!
But, we could use your help! Groupon has so many fun destinations to pick from, I was hoping you guys might help us choose!
We quickly ruled out the 6 day trip to Paris and the 9 day trip to Italy, only because we were all feeling very beachy. (My drink umbrellas worked!)
We’re pretty obsessed with all of the following all-inclusive beach trips: Jamaica, Punta Cana, and Costa Rica.
Have you been to any of these places on an adults only trip? I’d love to know which is your favorite and what you would pick! It’s so hard to decide and I want #MyGrouponGetaway to be PERFECT! 🙂

Go to Greece. It is gorgeous and very cool ruins to check out….plus the sea and food are the best. I haven’t been to any of the three you were asking about.

I have been to Jamaica, but I’m biased to Punta Cana because I live in the Domincan Republic and Punta Cana is a few hours away. I take weekend trips regularly, the beaches are beautiful, we are the most happy, upbeat and friendly people you can meet. Come and enjoy everything we have to offer, u won’t be sorry. I can even come and say hi ????
