Hi guys!
I asked y’all for some fun Chicago recommendations awhile ago and you all totally delivered! I made my husband take a day off of work and we hit up Chicago for a long weekend! It was divine.
As you know, I’m working with Groupon to have a little fun on vacation and share with you about their amazing Groupon Getaways. This Chicago trip was my first trip for this little travel series I’m doing. We booked the MileNorth hotel in Chicago using a Groupon Getaway. I was so impressed with the hotel! It was located just a block off of Michigan Ave. and a quick walk from The Water Tower Place, Disney Store, Zara, Crate and Barrel, Tiffany, and more! The hotel was right next door to Gino’s East, too! We enjoyed the heck out of some deep dish pizza! Our room was a suite, which was sweet (sorry, had to). We had a hip little sitting area, a ridiculously comfy bed, and gorgeous views of the city. My only complaint about the hotel is that they didn’t offer parking, which meant we had to park in a public garage which was pretty pricey at just over $100 for 2 days! But, that’s not really uncommon for a downtown Chicago hotel, so I can deal. The Groupon hotel price was so good that it really made up for that anyway!
We went to a musical, drank our way through the city, and went on a little self-made donut tour. We also went to an improv comedy show that we purchased tickets for through Groupon. Cheap and so hilarious!
I’ll be back to tell you all about that good stuff soon! In the mean time, be sure to check out Groupon Getaways if you’re thinking about planning a trip!
