This easy Instant Pot Jasmine Rice recipe turns out perfectly fluffy and tender every time! Perfect with all of your Asian recipes or just as a simple side dish.
Making jasmine rice in the Instant Pot is a quick and easy way to get rice on the table!
Jasmine Rice in the Instant Pot Couldn’t Be Easier!
We use our Instant Pot fairly often, but the truth is that we use it most for boiling eggs (the 5-5-5 method is amazing!) or for making rice.
We don’t have a rice cooker and I find that cooking rice on the stove can be a little intimidating for many people. Enter the Instant Pot!
We serve this Instant Pot Jasmine Rice with our air fryer tofu, roasted vegetables, and some Asian cucumber salad pretty regularly for dinner. It’s been on the weekly rotation for months now, honestly. I like to drizzle the rice, veggies, and tofu with our Korean BBQ sauce.

What is Jasmine Rice?
It is a variety of long-grained rice that is fragrant with a pleasant, mild scent and a fluffy texture. It’s often used in Asian cooking. The scent is subtle and not overpowering. Jasmine rice is also generally stickier than most American varieties of long grain rice.
♥ What We Love About This Recipe:
- Simple – We love how quick and easy the Instant Pot makes dinner and it doesn’t get much simpler than rice. It’s a versatile side dish that you can serve with just about anything and it’s ready in no time!
- Consistency – The Instant Pot will yield consistent results with perfectly cooked rice!
- Versatile: Whether you’re making a batch to top with butter and serve with our baked cream of mushroom chicken or you’re whipping up some rice to use in our bacon fried rice, this recipe is perfect.
Ingredient Notes:
Jasmine Rice – You can use any brand that you like. Jasmine rice can be found in most grocery stores in the rice section or sometimes with Asian foods.
Water – We’re using water as the liquid to prepare a basic jasmine rice, but you can use something more flavorful instead if you like. Chicken or veggie broth are great substitutes for the liquid!
Olive Oil or Butter – This will help prevent the rice from getting too sticky and clumping together.
Salt – Just a bit for flavor!
