This creamy GRAPE SALAD RECIPE is perfect for serving up at any family gathering! Made with fresh grapes and a simple, sweet dressing of cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar. The sprinkling of brown sugar and pecans on top really takes it over the top.
My daughter goes back and forth between loving grapes and requesting a new bag every time I visit the grocery store to hating grapes and turning her nose up at them when I come home with a bag.
Seriously, why are kids so weird?
It’s true that we normally just munch on grapes as they are (I mean, they ARE pretty perfect!), but we also like to make chicken salad with grapes. And, of course, this grape salad is always a hit when I whip it up.
This grape salad is made with cream cheese, so you know it’s going to be extra creamy and tasty! Let’s do it…
How to:
First things first, you’ll start with a pound of green grapes and a pound of red grapes. However, this recipe halves or doubles beautifully, so feel free to adjust the size to suit your needs. I usually halve this to serve up to my family, but we keep the proportions as is if we have guests.
Rinse your grapes and add them to a mixing bowl.
Beat together some cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl until it’s nice and fluffy.
Add that creamy goodness to your grapes and fold it all together to coat the grapes.
At this point, you can pop this in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it or you can serve it up right away.
Just before serving, sprinkle the grape salad with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
We love the caramel vibes from the brown sugar and the crunch of the pecans are perfect with the juicy grapes.
You’re going to love this one.
Storage:
This grape salad recipe will keep in the fridge for a few days.
This does taste best cold, so pull it out of the fridge just before serving.
The brown sugar will ‘melt’ into the salad as it sits in the fridge, but it’s no problem. Just go ahead and dig in!
